С 2013-2014 учебного года на базе экономико-правового факультета БИП открывается набор на новую специальность 1-27 02 01 «Транспортная логистика (по направлениям)». Направление 1-27 02 01-01 «Транспортная логистика (автомобильный транспорт)».
Логистика решает задачи, связанные с оптимизацией процессов снабжения, производства, распределения, складирования, транспортировки, то есть охватывает весь круг вопросов, связанных с перемещением материальных и информационных потоков, как в пределах предприятия, так и между поставщиками, посредническими фирмами и распределительной сетью. Цель логистики – повышение конкурентоспособности, надежности и эффективности различных направлений деятельности: в коммерции, менеджменте, промышленности, энергетике, строительстве, сельском хозяйстве, торговле, транспортно-экспедиционной сфере и т.д.
Подготовка специалистов в области транспортной логистики осуществляется по дневной и заочной формам обучения. Квалификация выпускников – «Инженер-экономист. Логист».
Обучение основано на современной тенденции развития области управления перевозками грузов. Подготовку специалистов осуществляют преподаватели, имеющие ученые степени докторов и кандидатов наук и ученые звания профессоров и доцентов, и специализирующиеся на проблемах логистики.
Выпускники специальности имеют возможность трудоустройства на промышленных и коммерческих предприятиях, занимающихся экспедицией грузов и в других соответствующих службах, могут исполнять функции диспетчеров, работать в логистических центрах и т.п.
